A dumpy little course. Looks like an old club, vintage 1950's, but at some point "muni-fied", as there are places where bunkers were grassed over to lower maintenance. Course was pretty dull and not well maintained. Price was low. Play was slow; over 5 hours. I waited 90 minutes as a single, while at least five threesomes got sent out. Starter said that "they're regulars and they don't want anyone joining them".

For 2009 they jacked up prices and coupons are harder to find. They are high as a kite charging $49 on weekend here. Conditions temporarily lush with spring rains, rough is, however, out of control as I think they don't own a mower. Layout nothing special as usual. It is what it is. For good price, it used to be a decent place to play but for $49 on up, go elsewhere!

Dull layout with poor conditioning but at a cheap price.

Don't be fooled by rave reviews from folks who play here often. As someone who had never played here before I was extremely disappointed with the conditioning, pace of play and customer service. They say they have put a lot of money into improving the condition. I for one do not see the benefit of any of this. This money would have been more wisely spent if they had used it for demolition. This is one of the saddest municipal courses in the area. Do not waste your hard earned money here!

Course improvements have gone a long way so far. Played today, granted with all the rain we've had can't be sure if the conditions will hold up when it gets hot later in year. For now, fairways and rough were in great condition, greens in great condition, bunkers even have sand; a new feature here. I've been here many times over the years; this is by far the best it's ever been. So for now I'd say it's worth a visit and the rates are cheap!

A sad track for local chops. Some grass on fairways would help. Chipped a club on a rock in the fairway. Poor range.

One word for the conditions: deplorable. To say they've lost the fairways is a huge understatement, caked hard-pan is about all you'll find out here. I know it's been a tough season of drought, but this is the worst I've seen probably ever. Plus, it seems to be hacker central with parallel holes that require dodging many errant shots. Greens are decent, as were traps and GPS in carts. Largely uninteresting layout but No. 18 is a water-carry par 3.

The reason I gave this course two flags were the greens. I was amazed at the quality of the greens on the course, especially when compared to the conditions of the fairways. I've never seen "fairways" in this condition before, not even in a cow pasture. I'm sympathetic to problems any course has with temps and rainfall, but this was just awful. The pace of play was great; less than four hours on a midday weekend, but, if not for the hard, quick, but well-manicured greens, this place would be a disaster.

Disappointing. Some interesting holes. May have once been a decent course. You can see where fairway bunkers have been removed to cut down on maintenance. The course currently suffers from poor maintenance, with mud and/or rocks and gravel in the rough, and occasionally in the fairway. Clubhouse, snack bar & proshop building is pretty dumpy. The course could be improved with restoration and better maintenance. The alternative to to chop it up for house lots. There are many better places to play in the area.

Was able to play for a $15 coupon on a Friday. Course was in nice condition. GPS is in each cart. Good course to bring a novice. If you spray your shot, it is easy to find your ball on most holes. Actually could hit out of the sand. Main concern was lack of a marshall. We got stuck behind an extremely slow group. Fortunately we were able to pass them at the turn.

Easy course which makes it fun for even hackers. Great place to take your children and teach them golf and still have a good time. If you are a scratch golfer this is probably not the place for you.

The rates are cheap, and it shows in the course. There are some well designed holes along the course, but the management of the fairways and greens is not up to par.If your a decent player looking for some cheap rounds to play at a semi-decent course, give Westpark a try.

For a hacker like me, this course provides plenty of challenge. Rates are a littler higher than I like to pay, but not bad is you play after 3PM on weekdays.Had a group outing here and the management was congenial to our wishes on course use.

No challenge here...at all. I was consistently breaking 80 here. Then I'd go somewhere else and shoot 85. Houston, we have a problem! Westpark is in fairly decent shape as golf courses go, but there is not one hole on this course that would excite you or challenge you. Biggest issue I have with Westpark is the pace of play. You won't get in a fast round here, and if you think there is a Marshall that will keep people moving along you are sorely mistaken. Best way to play Westpark is on a weekday after 3:00 (during season). All the golf you can play for $15. Can't beat that deal, now can you?

Overpriced at $55/weekend. You're better off spending your money on a municipal course, where the conditions are actually better. Sprinkler usage here is a joke. The fairways seem unkept. They were like concrete, and had plenty of areas that needed work. Tee boxes and greens seem to be well watered. Actually, on one green, there was an unplayable putting area due to over-saturation. Like Goose Creek, this course may have been something, sometime ago, but isn't now. I won't be back.
