This is a tough course when playing for the first time. Take note of the nondescript yardage advice on the scorecard; it will help on holes with blind shots and hazards especially on holes 12 and 17. Each hole on the front nine feels unique except 5 and 7. While the front nine is flat, the back contains a few elevation changes. Waverly Woods is a fun course, but the price is steep, I enjoy playing the reasonable weekday twilight rate, which starts at 3:30.

Course is in really good shape. Most courses are doing well now since we've had rain. Greens are hard and rolling very nice. Some pin placements seem unfair because there is no way to hold the ball on the approach shots. Word of advice, hit short and let the ball run up to the hole! Course management is also a must.

Great shape for the winter. Greens where rolling very true and the fairways and rough are in good shape. Ask about the winter membership for $99 bucks seems like a great deal.

One of the best layouts in the region. Course is in great shape and the greens are rolling fast and true. This course is a must play!

Played yesterday and the course was in great shape. Greens where smooth and fast and in great shape. Fairways and rough also where great. Was surprised with the weather(dry) how good the conditions are right now. Go play and enjoy yourself. Great customer service and practice area was in pretty good shape as well.

Despite the fact that the greens had recently been aerified, they rolled very nice and very fast. Overall, I think this course is much improved from the first time I played there about a year ago. I am not a fan of holes 2 thru 4, but aside from that stretch, I enjoy the layout here about as much as anywhere in the area. Very interesting and unique holes. Even though you see some development around, it doesn't detract from the course. It's tastefully done.

I'm biased about this course because it is one of my favorites. It's tough, but fair and always in great shape. The staff is professional and friendly. This is a must play course in my opinion.

Tough course with plenty of challange. A few blind tee shots and lots of sloped fairways. The rough was thick during our round so you have to keep the ball in the fairway to have a chance. Nice mix of Par 4's senic Par 3's and strategic Par 5's. Posting a good number at this course is the sign of a good player.

One of my favorite courses. It doesn't get the pub other area courses get but never disappoints. I would like to know the GolfinAmgios opinion on the course because their other course reviews are very direct and offer information you don't see in other sites or publications. You can tell they actually played the course. I play the sister course Blue Mash allot and like it as well but of the two Waverly is my favorite. From tee to green is was in great shape last week when I played it.

Bills itself and has prices as an up-scale course. So, so course not worth up-scale prices. More than a couple holes seem poorly conceived and designed. Often felt like the architect just threw a hole where they needed it, with no concern for distances between logical shot areas.

Course conditons are top notch even this time of the year. Greens in great shape running very smooth.. Fairways getting green and looking very nice. tee boxes average. Staff was very attentive to needs and CS was very good. Great layout. Even though building is going on -- not really that visiable.. A must play

Found this course to be sub standard for the price. The service was rude and they rushed us through like cattle. With our whopping 6 minutes to get from hole 9 to hole 10 I barely had time to grab a hot dog. In addition the course was dry, brown and nothing but divots. Horrible. Will not be going back.

I played a charity event on Oct 3. The course is in good shape. However, the staff seemed absolutely determined to ruin our day. We got told to speed up our pace (after we let 3 twosomes play through), got told to make sure we parked in the fairway four different times (while we were parked in the fairway), and were yelled at because we drove the carts within 100 yards of the green (when there were no signs pointing out where to drive off, and the starter never told us about this "rule").

I found the back nine of this course much more obliging to the average golfer than the front nine. Back nine fairways are a bit flatter and you always have visibility to see the green from the tee boxes. Front nine however, was the opposite. I didn't enjoy the tilting fairways which I found a bit unfair as they were difficult to hold off the tee. Staff and starter were very helpful and kind as well as the ranger who made his presence known. Certainly worth making a visit to.

Course was in great shape for this time of the year. Tee boxes very nice, greens had just been vericut, but where still in good shape and rolling very true. Fairways where almost like walking on carpet. The staff -- Excellent. I took a group of 12 guys there and everyone had a great time and really like the conditions. Staff treated all of us very good. Pace of play was 4:15 really good for a Saturday morning. $$$ I think is worth the price compared to other top dollar courses in the area

Course is in great shape, fairly generous fairways and the greens rolled true. A couple of blind shots so a return visit should hopefully result in an improved score. An excellent pace of play for a Saturday morning, right on 4:30. Score card says the blues are 6600 but didn't seem that far. Excellent cart girls!

This was an outstanding course; well worth the $78. It's a real nice layout with generous but challenging fairways and some tricky greens (sloped back into a hill so sometimes it was difficult to tell whether they ran uphill or downhill). The greens ran very smooth and the rough was penal but not impossible. Yardage books were free and helpful. The tee boxes were very good for a public course. There were some divots missing, but most of them were filled with sand. A fun course!

The front nine have many more houses than the web site leads you to believe, however, the back nine was quite and sucluded. Everything was green and well maintained, the greens were fast and a few of the fairways were close to being water logged.

This is a great golf course! If you are the kind of player that likes to be challanged this is the course for you. The course is always in great condition. The rolling fairways and deep rough make this course very difficult. Make sure to stock up on golf balls before heading out!
