Played Saturday and conditions were average at best. Rough has always been patchy and hard, but now on almost every hole there are large areas of dying or dead grass, maybe send out some employees with hoses. I teed off at 1 p.m. on a hot and humid Sunday afternoon and saw the cart girl once on the 6th hole. She gave me an attitude when asking for a cup of ice, and then quickly returning to her cell phone she speed off. I used to compare it to Queenstown, but can’t even touch the Lakes. Was not worth the price.

After driving by the Upland GC for over 3 years on my way to the beach, I finally stopped by for a Thursday afternoon round in March. The course was not crowded and in good shape for this time of the year. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely play this course again on my way to the beach.

Good and fund course with value. Good staff, clubhouse driving rang and putting green. Course was in great shape from green to tee. It's not spectacular like Lighthouse sound and Queenstown Harbor but overall it's worth a play. If you want to have four hours of fun.

Played July 30 and it's a terrific links style course. Wonderful layout and conditioning. Greens rolled very well and are quick. The fairways and bunkers are in great condition too. On about half of the holes, water comes into play. One thing to note about the water: at some courses, the lakes/ponds contain algae and the water turns brown. Not here. The water is blue and there is no algae. Maybe an insignificant detail for some, but it makes the course more aesthetically pleasing. The course is a fair test; not overly long or narrow. It was a very pleasant round.

One of the best public courses in MD. I played it last October and the greens had great speed and conditions.

Very nice course, excellent conditions and challenging layout. Rough is just that.... Rough! Only thing I didn't like about the course was my score.

I played this course with my wife on the way to Ocean City last week. What a great course! If you like a good "links style" experience then you must check it out. Conditions were first rate all around with some very slick and fast greens. They have a wonderful practice area with natural grass, chipping and putting green. The clubhouse is very large and serves a nice place for an after round beverage, or two in my case. Stop in and you will really enjoy the experience at Upland.

One of the best new courses.Out in the middle of nowhere (near Denton) but gives people heading to beach a place to play. Great test of golf, links style. Condition is very good. Price is right. Stop in you will love it.

Played this course on my way to the Deleware Shore recently, About 20 mins outside of Annapolis. Beautiful links styel course with quick fast greens. Nice design and great clubhouse to hold outings. Only thing that might hurt the course is its location, it's really out in the middle of nowhere, but should get alot of play from those on the way to the beach and the growing Annapolis crowd. Give it a try on the way to the shore the next time you will not be disapointed.
