WARNING: Walk this course only if you need excessive exercise. Some holes are very distant from others; especially holes 3 to 4 and 16 to 17 plus some good ups and downs. The front nine snakes in a tight- knit stream valley However...I only paid $6 to walk 18 holes and enjoyed the layout (It's $20 to ride in winter. This is not your course if you are looking for a challenge. It's a great course if you are a beginner or looking for a short round, no par 5's, 10 par 3's. Some of the par 4's are driveable if you are a bomber and risk taker. It's a course to work on your irons. The par 3 first hole is the signature hole, literally, with "The Woods" spelled right behind it. You hit from a huge hill down to the green and a incredible drop. Hole 16, which you also tee off on a huge hill, is only 119 yards, but has a tiny green with a stream with an awesome stone bridge, to the right and woods to the left. I would have given a higher score for scenery...but a course with minimal traps isn't high on my scenery list. There are some very pretty holes though. It's hard to judge maintenance in November, so I gave it credit because this is a resort. This was a good course to play on a November afternoon, no one else was on the course!
