I wish I could rate this course on several categories. Because in some respects the "par" rating does not do this course justice. The course when I played was in great shape and the greens were spectacular. Unfortunately the layout is kind of goofy and there are a lot of houses around. There are a couple really beautiful holes on the back nine. Due to the proximity, you can't help but compare it to Cacapon, which is a first class design. The Woods is Class A ball where Cacapon is Major League.

Played the course yesterday and was really impressed with the customer service, layout and conditions. Most other courses have had issues with conditions because of the heat but the greens on the mountain view course were perfect. The ground beyond the first cut of rough was a bit hard further off the fairway but that was more my swings fault. Not the hardest course but the elevation changes and nice greens make it a good place for a round. Try it out, you will like it.. I did!

Dumb design, fairly well kept. Up one side of mtn., around, and down the other.
Some really scenic holes, greens average, some holes rediculous. But for the amt. of money an interesting afternoons play.

Nice course and decent resort to stay and play. Pretty much out by itself so bring your own entertainment. But if you like getting away from everything to have a relaxing weekend its a pretty good place. The mid-length course isn't bad either.
