Did someone say dry? I'd like to give this course a birdie, as it has a lot going for it, but there are a couple of drawbacks. Dry, hard fairways for one, which leaves every lie a tight lie. Slow greens this month, obviously to protect them. Four long uphill par 3's, which are challenging, but don't provide any variety. The good news? Nice practice facility, attractive layout with pine trees and unobtrusive housing. Plus the wide fairways, reasonable price and the course was not crowded when I played.

The course is a very nice layout and was in good shape when I played it recently. I particularly liked the pristine bunkers.

Definitely a step below New Kent and Stonehouse, although those are top notch courses. Easier than both with wider, easier to see landing areas. Course always seems to be too dry. That said, it is a very fun course to play and you will not be disappointed. Always easy to get on and some great Internet deals.

I have played this course four different times and I have been very impressed with the layout. The Par 3's are exceptionally challenging, especially off the Red Tees. I would recommend this course to anyone visiting the Williamsburg area.
