Not a fan of the layout, and the place DESPERATELY needs to be watered or rain. Some of the fairways and greens are firmer than the cart paths.

Well as the pendulum swings so does the conditions at Somerset. A month ago they were in the best shape I had ever seen. Now they are losing their greens pretty rapidly. I love the layout but the only thing they had going for them was their greens and they are disappearing.

This is a classic layout. After playing courses with a blind shot every other hole it is refreshing to go to a classic upfront golf course. You can see your shot before you hit. The fairways were in "Winter condition" but the greens rolled very true. Great course and a good walk.

This course is "CLOSED" again. Seems like it doesn't get enought play to stay open. I liked to play it because it was always empty. I guess thats not a good thing. I like the layout and the people were nice. To bad we didn't get any warning about the 2nd closing. Guess I'll have to go back to Meadows Farms or should I say the circus.

Played here on 3/12/06. The greens were very firm but rolled very nice. That is where the positives end. The fairways and rough were half dirt half grass, and everything was rock hard. The layout is bad. Lots of stupid holes, particularly 17 and 18. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, particularly beginners. There are several forced carries and tight holes that can contribute to lots of lost balls and long rounds. It's not too expensive, but it is too expensive for what you get.

The course is struggling with a lack of water. A bunch of the tee boxes have no grass at all and the fairways are typical of a lot of the courses in the area. The greens are in spectacular shape though and are definitely the highlight of the course.

This course had some trouble as all have over the summer due to lack of water. Fairways are burned out and in some places had little if any grass. Tee boxes are on the mend but the reason I gave it a 4 is they kept thier greens in fantastice shape. Managment, Bart and his staff, has made a point to bring good southern charm to your experience just by the way they treat you the minute you get out of the car. Great clubhouse, good food and drink and the being treated well makes this a treat.

Fun layout. The front nine you are playing along the trees and the back nine was fairly open. The greens were in great shape. They are still working on the fairways on a few holes but I think that next spring this place is gonna be great.

One of my favorite type of courses. It's not terribly long, pace is fast, and it reminds me of a true "links" style golf course. Lots of hills, and bunkers. Not a ton of trees to clutter things up, just extra grassy areas that can eat a golf ball! Greens are firm, and fast.
