Attractive, country-style golf. Traditional parkland design, with parallel holes and tree-lined fairways. Up and down several hills. One hole on the blue 9 is a devilishly difficult, narrow, uphill drive, but otherwise, there's not too much trouble. This is a nice property, but I actually prefer the easier 36 across the street at Bowling Green, which features better views and cheaper price. Conditions are probably superior at Shenandoah.

Shenandoah Valley offers three sets of nine holes. I played the Red and Blue courses. I liked the Red course slightly better scenic wise. Every hole is set up nicely with well defined fairways, nicely cut rough, and enough trees to add challenge. The traps should not come into play unless really careless. The blue course is considered the hardest course where you must "work the ball", but nothing overly difficult.

Too short of a track for my game, but the conditions were pretty good. I was in a church outting so I really can't comment on the pace of play or anything else, but it was a nice experience, as far as the staff and course go. The slope of the course offers some challenges, but I wouldn't go out of my way to play here. Also a little more expensive then I thought it was worth to be quite honest. If you happen to be in the area, sure; but don't bother going out of your way to play this one. You aren't missing a whole lot here.
