This out-of-the-way course has some good things going for it. It has attractive property, affordable rates and a mostly uncluttered tee sheet. It is a very difficult course, though, for most average golfers. Start with a strange collection of tees that forces you to choose between 5,800 and 6,500 yards. You'll face 6 forced carries into greens over streams on Par 4's or 5's, limiting your options. Also, the course is often narrow and tree lined. Dull Par 3's, except for 9. Mediocre maintenance.

Course conditions have improved dramatically in the last two years. There are still allot of improvement needed, but getting better.

For the past 2 years, the course had deteriorated dramatically. Now a new owner has taken over and the course has greatly improved. It is a long and challenging course but even us high-handicappers can enjoy it. My hope is the new owners recognize the potential and keep improving the conditions and upkeep.

Long, narrow fairways. High rough. Goofy greens with divots on them.

I've played the course a dozen times. The greens are "acceptable" but the fairways and the rough are in very poor shape. The "grass" is in terrible condition and you basically have to play "lift , clean, and find anyplace resembling grass". The place has a ton of potential but needs a lot of help.
