$105 got me. No one to get the bag from the car; nice layout with some condition issues; no GPS on the carts. They used to have it. Nothing to fill divots with - only some of the carts had a place for the sand canister, and mine wasn't one of them. Sorry, but for the money it's not a good value. It used to be, but I think they've gotten lazy and cheap. Oh, and I believe that 8 holes are perpetually cart path only - the par 3's, of course, and four other holes.

This course gets a birdie for excellent design and fun layout. Lots of challenge but playable. We found an online deal but when we got there we were told they took the GPS out of the carts. The website still says they HAVE GPS. So for a $70 dollar round at noon we played a great course guessing our yardage all day. The fairways are not marked very well other than your standard 100, 150 and 200 yard markers in the middle of the fairway.

Easy course from the tee, as most of the fairways are very wide. Around the green is another matter, given the penal bunkers, creeks and large greens that could lead to three-putts. Heavy Loudoun Co. play and the silly red-vested reception staff aren't for everyone (particularly those who prefer to spend less than $100 per round) but the practice facility is great. Don't believe any Scotland/links characterizations. This is a subdivision/woodland course with some tall grass. Good layout.

This is a first rate course. Absolutely beautiful layout. Check out the buffalo farm running alongside 17! If you're not on your A game, this course will eat you alive though. Great driving range and chipping area. Food was outstanding. All around a top notch facility. Only cons are price (which is arguably fair for such a quality course) and distance from DC. Look for tee time specials online. If you have a full day to spend, I highly recommend this course.

Played last weekend with a group from work. I was a bit shocked at the price of $105 (I wish I'd read the reviews here..). No rate reduction in the afternoon. Course was OK, nothing special. Greens were spotty. It was "cart path only" on about half of the holes - no rain for weeks - go figure? The good news is that is wasn't crowded. I wonder why...
I'll not be back at these prices.

Accepted an invite to play Raspberry. I wish that I had checked here first! I almost fell over when I discovered the $115 rate with tax. Staff was unfriendly. Course was OK, worth about $60 on a weekend.

I played Raspberry today as a "business" round with some clients. I was glad that I wasn't paying - $110 per person! The course was nice, but not anywhere close to being worth over $100 for a round of golf. I guess that they are after the business crowd that writes off the cost. I've played a lot of equally good courses for under $70, and some under $50 on weekends. Rates appear to have dropped significantly at most courses. This one is a birdie course with a double bogey price

When we pulled up to the course, we were blown away by the clubhouse right off the bat. Great facilities, professional and courteous staff. The driving range is excellent, and they had the range balls waiting for you in the "pyramid", which gives it a pro tournament feel. The course itself was not spectacular, but it was fun to play. y personal favorite hole was the par 5 4th, with a risk-reward tee shot that must carry rough and bunkers. Decent greens that roll well; overall a good course.

Review would be a birdie based on just on layout and conditioning. It would be a triple bogey, based on cost. Over $100 for a round is crazy. It's just not that good. Many VA & MD courses nearby offer the same golf for much less.

Played in early November and have played 5 to 6 times previously. Staff is mostly friendly. Got ugly stare when questioned fee charged conflicted with web rate. Practice facility is very good. Course is in excellent condition except shaded tees were there is some bare spots and inconsistent green hardness. Green speeds outrageous going downhill. Layout is one of areas best. Good variety of shots required. The only downside seems is that some of the traps have been reworked to make it easier and recent housing boom has spoiled many of the views.

Course is in fantastic shape and the greens are lightning quick. I've never played greens this slick and I've played some fast greens.

I have to go with the "overpriced" reviews. Course was about average for a daily fee course in this area, but about $30 over the going price. Hard to see shy anyone pays that premium when equal or better tracks available in the region.

My favorite course! It's touted as a Links course but more of a hybrid between a links and parkland style course. Layout is great and conditions are always good. It's playing tough this year with higher grass just off some of the fairways, so bring your 'A' game. I don't know what the guy below me giving this course a double bogey was thinking. It's not a cheap course so maybe it's just out of his price range.

The layout alone is worthy of an Eagle rating but many "little things" take this course down a notch. Overall, course was in good shape but $105 greens fees on the weekends require immaculate conditions. The front nine was recently aerated and no one told us when we made the tee time. They're doing some work on a few bunkers which had NO sand only rocks and they were not marked as ground under repair. I love the layout but if you're going to charge high-end prices, deliver a high-end experience.

A great course in excellent condition with top notch service. It is extremely challenging, especially around the greens. If the price wasn't so ridiculously high I would play this much more often.

Conditions were great, with the minor exception of punched greens. Still lightning quick and VERY puttable. An excellent test of golf, and you are challenged on every hole, especially on and around the greens. The GPS actually worked, and was a HUGE help to me on this track, as knowing your yardage shaves at least 5 strokes off of your score. They've done a great job of keeping it green here, especially with the drought. Pace of play was not really an issue as we made it around in 4 hours.

Played 7am and got a discount because they had us cancel our time last week due to an outing, paid $45, regular around $80 for a week day. The course was in fair to good shape, not bad considering we've been in a bit of a drought. It was cart path only. The lay out is very nice, wide fairways and large greens. The course is nice , but still over priced; plenty of other courses as nice but at half the price.

Nice course, but not worth the high price. Any of the Frederick MD area courses are equal or better, for a much more reasonable cost. Play was slow during my round, over 5 hrs early on a Saturday AM. A couple of slow groups, with no marshal to push them.

Pros: Course conditions were close to the best I've ever played, Clubhouse and employees were extremely welcoming, beautifully laid out links style course. Cons: Course is a magnet for hacks, idiots who have too much money and want to play the best, but unfortunately know nothing about and are horrible at golf. If you are able enjoy the scenery, which is quite nice, as you wait for the clowns in front of you to over analyze their putts, and then 4 putt, this course is for you.

$100 for a pretty average modern daily-fee track. We found the place staffed by young kids, who didn't care much for customer service. No marshal to be seen at all, during our 5.5 hour round early on a Saturday. You can find better golf in the area for a much lower price.

A wonderful course for $70 per round. Unfortunately, they charge $100. This Gary Player layout was in average to above average condition. Pace of play can be glacial, with 6 hour rounds not uncommon. Carts restricted to paths way too often, making play even slower. Staff is not friendly, and really cares little about customer service. Not bad if someone else is paying, or you're on a business golf outing. Otherwise, better values can be found elsewhere, or wait for winter rates.

If you get lucky and time it right this is a great course. If not they will steal your money blind. I played Tues 5/1, after paying full price I walk out and see them in process of aerating green on 18! No mention in clubhouse, no discount, no nothing. Overall course conditions were a B, but greens an F. Not only aerated, but they dumped buckets of sand on top full of rocks/pebbles. Putting impossible outside of 3 feet. I 3 putted the first 13 holes all from 20 feet on in! Terrible deal.

I have played this course a number of times, but after my last experience I will not return. The pace of pay was extremely slow (6 hours) and by the back nine we found out why. We started finding Coors Light cans on the tee boxes, fairways and on the green. By the 18th hole there were 10 players standing on the tee hitting a total of 30 balls and completely wasted. No course marshall and no help from the manager, he just blew us off. This place is a waste of money.

This course gets high marks for the challenging layout and good amenities. That said, for the price, I'd go to Stonewall. The rough at Raspberry Falls was the most difficult I've ever played. Some neat elevated tees, and a fantastic finishing hole. Much better practice facility than Old Hickory. For very strong golfers looking for a challenging, but fair risk versus reward track, I'd recommend Raspberry Falls. For everyone else, I'd rather play Stonewall.

I have played the course twice, I live out of state. Even if I lived here, I could not play it too many times because it is just too expensive! The tees, fairways, and greens are well above average for a public course. I have played Bethpage Black and this course is in better shape. The elevated tees are a plus, along with the bunkers and ruff. Fairways are more than wide enough to hit and the place has overall character. It does not get eagle status because of its price - ridiculous.

I give this course an excellent, just because I love the layout. The overall condition of the course is above average so there's room for improvement here, but the greens are well designed together with the bunkering and in excellent shape. Like the others though, they need to bring the price down, please! I'd certainly play it more!

Excellent course, great views, well conditioned, and supurb service. This is definitely worth the trip, but bring your "A" game or you might come away frustrated; the course will punish the errant golf shot. If you're not up to it, don't play EITHER of the 2 back tees.

Played this course April 14th. Nice layout and pretty difficult course. Some beautiful holes, although some views are now dimished due to new home construction. Staff was very friendly. Conditions were avg at best. Greens had been punched not too long ago, but I don't think they were that great even so. My sentiment would echo everyone elses, pretty nice course, but overpriced.

The course is in superb condition, and is gorgeous. However, any course that on its signature hole has a plasti-grass mat gets docked a couple levels (especially when I'm paying about $100 to play there). For $100 a person, they should do whatever they can to grow grass on the 18th tee, up to and including buying UV lights to help it grow.

Now I know why there are negative reviews. For a course that prides itself on it's reputation it just didn't live up to it today for me. Most of the problem I have with Raspberry Falls is the pace of play. You have foresomes out there an hour before dark who take their time, and act like they have all day to play. No urgency to finish the round, and they won't let a single or twosome play through. The conditions are ok, but not spectacular. The layout is maybe above average and really didn't excite me all that much. Several holes were nice, but honestly, there are at least 10 other courses in the DC area that I would play before I pick Raspberry Falls. And they cost less money too. Because it's so close to my house I will probably return when they go back to winter rates again, but it's definitely not worth more then $40 to play.

Dont beleive the hype. I just moved back and was told that I need to play this course. I was disappointed with the greens as we had dry spots on half the greens and the to charge full price for a course in this condition... the last time I will play this course

Don't believe the HYPE. This course is not even close to being one of the best around. Granted the facilities and service are very good. Personally when I play golf I care more about the course conditions and design than about having a teenager clean my clubs for me. The green and tees where not in good condition, very bumpy, not to be expected when you have to take a loan to play 18 holes. If you want to spend big bucks try their sister course, Old Hickory, it is worth it.

Nice course and facility but way to expensive. I like the links design but for a links course I would expect more trouble off the fairways. Nice views and greens are in good shape.

I have played this course a couple of times. It is always in good shape from tee to green. The links style design is very fun to play but the pot bunkers can and will make your round tough on you if you can't stay out of them. Some really great views from a couple of elevated tee boxes.Only draw back is the price which is prety expensive.
