This course is in terrific shape at the moment, is uncrowded, is interesting and fun to play, and is in a beautiful setting. Reasonably priced, too! There are a couple of holes that won't win design awards, but overall it's a great time. There's a lot of care being put into this course, which had seemed to fray at the edges a couple of years ago.

Good News: Gorgeous setting, great vies, Clubhouse nicely sited and well-designed. Friendly staff. Not-so-Good-News: swarms of small flies or gnats in your face, eyes, mouth, etc. Everywhere. Even after slathering with bug spray. I noticed other groups constantly swatting. I am a 4-hdcp but felt there were too many blind shots, odd bounces and penalizing lies. Rough was uneven. Several holes need to be cautious or will hit into group ahead. Overall, I left disappointed.

A thought-provoking, hilly layout, this course has the potential to be great. However, when I played this August, I was shocked at how the conditions had deteriorated from when I played before. Rocky, bumpy, pock-marked fairways and bunkers in disastrous condition.

Played in May 06. BEAUTIFUL course with long-distance views and mountain backdrop. Course was in great condition and the layout is fun. Some of the scenery is very distracting...in a good way. One of my top 10 favorite Mid-Atlantic courses. I know what you're thinking, "That's at least a 2 hour drive!" Yeah....well, it's worth it.

This is a terrific course from all aspects. The staff treats you first class. The course is in beautiful shape and a challenging but fair test. My favorite course in the Harrisonburg area.
