Course was in very good condition. Traps were a bit thin and the greens slightly slower than would be optimal but a nice design an setup. Fair, scenic and a decent challenge.

Course was in good condition and still green in color and no burnouts. Greens were a bit slow but overall well maintained and amenities are decent. With a combination of walkers and riders, pace of play can be slow on both the weekday and weekend.

I'll give this a low-birdie to high-par. Good layout in that you can get yourself in trouble but it's still fairly forgiving. Pace was exceptional for a weekend round. Greens are a little too slow. Big greens and mix of long and short holes. Conditions are reasonably good for a public course. This is not an exceptionally memorable course, but a very solid choice and reasonably priced for NOVA. More challenging and interesting than the more open, shorter Lakes Course.

Played yesterday evening and course is in great shape. Fairways firm, rough at a good height, not too penalizing. Walked 18 in 3.5 hours, playing the back nine by myself. This is the first time I've played it and for a municipal it's a great layout. My only issue were the slow greens, end of the day they were a little shaggy but not beat up.

I like the track but its early spring. The greens recently punched so you might wait a week or so to make a tee time here. Fresh sand in all the traps. Lots of variety and for a county course decent value for caliber design.

I like the design very much for a municipal. Lots of options on how to play the course and it's setup fair. The greens are however a bit slower than the norm. Currently they have all kinds of Halloween decorations out. All over the course which is a bit weird. A plastic dead rat hanging from a water cooler on the course, a bit tacky.

My favorite muni in the Washington area. The Oaks course is a nice layout with good routing but fair. If you hit good shots you're rewarded, if you spray the ball then you suffer the extra strokes. Great mix of Par 4s. The staff is always nice and they have a good practice area. If there is any draw back is the popularity of the course. Always tough to get an early tee time and rounds can at times be slow, but they do marshal the place well and try to keep a 4.5 weekend pace.

I like this layout but the course still had winter conditions last weekend. Greens were slow and bumpy and the bunkers hadn't been touched with a rake for a while. But the staff is nice and layout is decent for a municipal.

For the middle of winter the course wasn't to shabby. The greens were a bit slow and the bunkers a bit thin but everything else was ok. I'm sure it's much better in the summer. The layout is nice and not overly difficult. The location is great so I'm sure the course gets a ton of play in season.

The best golfing value in Northern Virginia. The layout is solid. However, conditioning is spotty; and that's being generous, due to an ongoing conversion of ryegrass to bentgrass in the fairways.

For a County course this is above average. It offers good challenges and for the heavy amount of play it gets it holds up well in the hot summer months. Due to its popularity, it can get crowded, especially on the weekends.

Very good layout, very nice conditions for a rough summer. Greens were just a little slow. Staff good and pace of play was monitored. A very good experience, and a second trip will be scheduled!

For a public course, this is the place to play. I rate it the best public course in Northern Virginia. A very long back nine will challange you distance wise, and strategically place bunkers make things interesting. Course is in very good shape for a public course, greens are a little spotty on some holes but don't let that stop you. You will enjoy this course.

By far the best of the Fairfax County-owned Public Courses and much better than its sister course, the Lakes. Extremely challenging from the back tees and in very good condition. The staff is always very friendly...they make sure you WANT to come back...we will.
