A nice links-style executive course - 7 par 3s and 2 par 4s, including one that plays over 400 from the tips. Course was in very good condition for mid-March - greens rolled true, bunkers had been raked, fairways had been cleaned up. (If only they could do something about the goose droppings.) Some greens are surprisingly huge for an executive course and a few are quite undulating and tricky. Holes are pretty well framed for such a small course. Have read negative comments about the clubhouse personnel at Needwood, but I've never had any trouble. Pace was great today, although the very windy conditions meant there were only a few hardcore golfers on the course for a mid-afternoon, midweek round. On balance, a good course to work on your short game.

This is a great little course for after work or a quick round on the weekends. I ended up playing back to add some distance to the chip and putt but the two longer par-4's add nice challenges. The course is generally in good shape but can occasionally back up with slow play. A course I love and will continue to play as my game improves.

I played this (again) with my kid and a friend of his, and was reminded what a nice little course this is. Four of the holes are (from blue tees) "real" par 3s (which is to say 150-170 yards). Two are par 4s (one 300 yards, nasty dogleg right, one 400 yards with some exotic mounding). Three are pitch-and-putt holes (around 100 yards). It plays fast even when play is slow (you know what I mean), and the greens have some very tricky swales, layers and double-breaks.
