I came prepared to hate the course for its gimmickry, if not outright mockery of golf. Came away impressed as I could be since, when you strip away some of the outrageous things, it's a pretty good country golf course. The gimmicks are bold: an opening practice hole, the longest hole in the world (which is the best--OK only--par 6 I've played), and some others on the 3rd nine. I liked the church pew bunkers on 8 and 11. Really inexpensive, which is good too.

The course was in good shape. the greens have a little sand on them from being aerated, which makes them a bit rough.

What a joke. This course makes fun of golf with its baseball infield par 3 and other holes. I guess if your like flamigos in your front yard then this is the course for you. Move a couple of trailer parks around the fairways and it would be redneck golf at it's finest.

Always a fun course. The island green really is "killer." Pace is tremendously slow on the weekends and on nice afternoons, but worth the wait if you've got time to kill on a golf course. I do try and play here several times in the fall, it's just georgeous!
