Played the course yesterday and for this time of the year, found the fairways and tee boxes a bit more chewed up then normal. Greens were in OK condition. Will return in June to see if conditions improve a bit.

For this time of the year, I thought the course was in very good condition. Sand traps were a bit hard and greens were somewhat bumpy, but the fairways and tee boxes were good. This course is a nice challenging layout with some really long Par 5's with some shorter Par 4's. Staff is always friendly and amenities are good too.

Played the course this past weekend and man what a turn-around. The conditions were good, except for a couple of tees and a few spots in a couple of fairways. The greens, bunkers and most of the fairways were the best I've ever seen at this course. The new management has done a terrific job with the property and overall golfing experience. If there is a complaint it's just a couple of blind shots that can bite you if you don't know the layout. Overall good value and fair course design.

The course is 10 minutes north of I-70 and the entrance can be tough to find, it looks like just another driveway if you're unfamiliar with it. There are only two holes that are really narrow, No. 6 and No. 15. It's not terribly challenging compared to other northern MC courses; the rating from the back is 71.9). The course maintenance is top notch. The staff is great. Great practice facilities and clubhouse. Links of Challedon is a comfortable golf experience.

Course is in good condition with many challenging holes. Fairways are tight and tree lined requiring straight shots on the majority of holes here. Staff is friendly and clubhouse has full amenities. Good location right off of Route 70.

Course is in great shape. The greens are smooth but not quick. If you find the fairway, you can score here. The rough was thick during my round.

It's looking great. A couple of years ago the greens and the course were looking bad. But they have totally turned it around. It's totally worth playing and having a nice round. You should really come and see it again.

I'm glad this course has straightened up. It went through a few owners and some bad times and finally came back this year. Played three times this year and have enjoyed some very good conditions. This has always been one of my favorite courses. I think mainly because I always score well here. There are some good par 5's that can be reached in two, and some really good diverse par 3's. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful.

Played for the first time on Memorial Day weekend; great course. It was in excellent condition. Greens were fast and challenging. Fairways were in great shape. It was a challenging course, especially compared to the Montgomery county courses I've been playing lately. But, it was a fair course. Only gripe with the course were the lack of visible yardage markers. I'd play here more if it wasn't an hour away and if I didn’t get stuck in traffic all the time.

Greens, fairways, and tee boxes were in good shape as you'd expect at this time of the year, especially with all the rain. Course is top notch and does a good job to strive for customer perfection. Only gripe here is that there aren't any markers that are clearly visible showing the 150yd. marker. There are old faded lines on some of the holes on the cart paths, but overall I wish they'd plant a bush or drop a rock to help assist with the yardage. Other than that, I will be back here again.

Played Sunday after a week long rain. Course drained pretty well although the fairways and greens were shaggy since the mowers haven't had a chance to cut anything. Conditions were good but greens were slow. Most holes are kinda tight off the tee and almost always OB stakes on 1 side. Layout isn't bad; some blind shots, forced carries and elevation change to deal with. Although part of a residential community, the homes don't really come into play at all.

I've avoided this course due to poor managment in the past but I recenlty returned with a couple of friends. WOW, what a great job the current managment has done. The course is in the best shape I've ever seen and the improvements are very nice. Lots of added flowers around the tees, decent sand in the bunkers and the greens were fast and true; in better shape than most other course I've played recently. The layout has always been fun. It seems the Links at Challedon is finally back!

Greens and fairways were nice and green and layout a challenge. Lots of traps come into play on each hole. Tee boxes were chewed up as mentioned below and I don't think they have ever changed the water in the ball cleaners. Course pretty much winds through a housing community.

Greens are in great shape, Fairways and rough are pretty good shape even with the dry weather. Lots of upgrades around the course from upgraded pro shop to new landscaping on the course. Customer service was great. They included water and free range balls and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The new management has this place going in the right direction. My only complaint would be tee boxes are not very flat and little chewed up.

Course is in great shape for the winter months. The customer service was top notch and my group had alot of fun. We ate lunch in the 19th hole and the food was suprisingly very good and we the food was brought to our table for us. My group and I can't wait to comeback in the spring.

I went to challedon a few days ago it was expensive but it has made a huge turn around in the past year. The course is looking a lot better then it used to. A man name derek was working in the pro shop, I rember his name because he was so unpleasent. The rest of the staff seemed nice and I got. I got my clubs washed by one of the staff. I will recomend this course to others.

Very expensive and the staff wasn't very helpful. They were re-doing the sand traps and half of the holes had mounds of sand still in it. I would only play there again if I was forced to.

Customer service can make or break any business. Theirs is terrible, from the cashier, to food service, to starters. Nice layout, but needs a super that understands golf courses not crop production. I've seen better bunkers on a mini-golf course. Waste of money, but more importantly, a waste of 5 1/2 hours.

Course had mgmt changes each of the last three years. Looks like current mgmt is trying to breath some life back into the course, but far from good conditions. Not one bunker had sand, thin layer of dirt and tons of rocks. Have you ever hit a bunker shot with rocks. It's not pretty! Greens are bumpy with irractic speed. Tees need to be moved around more. Customer service is non-existant, just terrible. Decent layout. Needs TLC and a new staff.

Fun little course at a reasonable price. Not extremely difficult or long, but fun enough for a day out.

Still too expensive, $65 weekends, $45 weekdays. Greens aerated early April and still show signs, but rest of course in good condition. Customer service sucks, but some fun holes to play and overall a very well taken care of course.

Its a very nice course but it is too expensive. If they could lower the price I would play there a lot more.

Meet some friends here recently and what a waste of money. Even if a value course; you expect playable conditions. The greens were areated recently but a very poor job. Like putting on cobblestone. The mangement needs to hire some people that know something about customer service. The guy working the front desk made you feel like he was doing you a favor by playing the course. Only decent thing was the pretty ladies working the beverage carts and grill. It's really the only reason to play the course.

Great pseudo-links course (not like Britain, but certainly the rough is longer than average U.S. course). Some exciting holes, friendly staff, well maintains course & carts. Several holes are very challenging and the scenery is beautiful. Remember, no beer when crossing roads (look for postings)....and chuckle.

After hearing issues about this course I decided to try it out recently with a couple of friends. I was delighted that the stories of years past have been corrected. The course was in good shape and is a fun play. It's not a course that over powers with length but it does have some testy tighter shots. You do have to think some on the course. The greens are in decent shape with delicate slope. Nice views as well. Only need is more sand in the bunkers.

Above average when you factor in price. Course is fairly challenging and enjoyable for bogey golfer. Some holes require local knowledge for club selection and aim point. Nice risk/reward payoff on couple of par 5's. Some forced carries but manageable for bogey golfers. Greens are reasonbly consistent. You will enjoy many return trips here. NOT cart path only and price is very reasonable for the quality of the course.

I'd rate it 3-4. Nice location and well-maintained with good practice facility. Anybody under an 18 hcp should play from the Blues. A nice mix of wide open and tight holes. Not too easy (like a Longview), nor a ball-buster (Like Gettysburg), it's a good value for the money. The early bird special coupons in the Sun ($15 before 7:30, cart included) is the best deal going.
