A great, legendary walk for golfers of all ages! The snack bar is a haven for soul food on a budget. If you want a "real"… see also "not bourgie"... inner city golf experience, Langston is the spot in DC! hole number 10 is not for the faint of heart and will highlight your round. The greens and fairways were in great shape for the amount of play and the chipping area is a "A" grade!

OK layout, nothing fancy or creative. Generally straight holes, some slight doglegs. Definitely long - 6600 from the tips, 6100 from the whites. Lots of dry patches, bare patches, etc. But it's convenient for those that live downtown and very cheap. You get what you pay for. Very slow, I played 9 today and it took 3 hours. Lots of hacks come out because it's cheap, so expect a very slow day. Nothing worth going out of your way for, it's just cheap golf on a beat up course.

You can't beat the price at Langston. It's a very long course, but it is usually in rather rough condition, especially if it is dry. The 10th hole, when teeing off across the river, is one of the most challenging holes in DC-area. The rest of the back nine has many long par 4s. The food stand has one of the best burgers you'll ever taste! All of the other food is also excellent. The locals love this course and the staff is incredibly friendly.

The folks at Langston have done a good job at cleaning up and maintaining the course. The fairways have grown in nicely and the greens are fast and challenging. It's definately the best bargain in the DC area and with a little more TLC, will rank among the top courses in the area because of its fair layout. Be sure to order the bacon cheeseburger at the snackbar, it's the best in DC!

Played this couse 4/16 - the grass throughout is spotty, but they are working hard to clean it up. It is by far the most interesting course in the district. The front 9 is very open, but the back nine is long and challenging. A couple of 420+ par 4 holes to make things interesting. If you live in the district, it is well worth the trip. Also, the restaurant has the best food!
