Played a few weeks ago and they were doing lots of work on the course. Looks like it has paid off! The greens are back in good shape and tons of clearing along the fairways. Staff was really nice and they have flavored towels after your round which I have never seen before. I said I would wait till next year but will definitely play more this Fall! They have a cool deal on Sundays for football season too. A shotgun start and tailgate with food and beer.

Course needs a lot of work. It is a good layout, but going through a lot of growing pains due to poor green and fairway conditions. My two rating is due to a combination of the ground crew needing to figure out a thing or two about keeping the course in shape and the public not using good course etiquette; not repairing balls marks and divots. Give this place a year or two before playing and it should be great. For know it is not worth the 100 bucks. Play Renditions instead.

I was looking forward to playing this course for the first time. I did like the layout and think it will grow in well. The course conditions were poor with several greens completely gone. Still had fun but would wait for the fall given the price.

Believe the hype! This place is awesome. Great layout and range. Staff is excellent. Took a lesson before my round since one of the pros was on the range with demos and teaching. Definitely shaved a few shots off. The yardage book was helpful and some more local knowledge will be a plus next time. Greens rolled well. Some spots in teh rough looked stressed by heat but otherwise in great shape, especially for a new course. Toughest holes were 8, 9, and 15.

I have now played the course 6 times. This is the greatest layout in MD by far. They are having some first year issues that many courses still go through. They told us about it and offered a beer after the round. Staff has always been great! Cart girls are A plus! Overall great experience and a definite regular spot for me!

Would have rated worse if possible. Management too concerned with collecting over priced fee, and not with adequately maintaining the course and honestly dealing with patrons. Played on 5/30 and course was in great shape, then played on 6/24 and the course was terrible greens should be closed and repaired, collars have no grass on them, and fairways show strain due to recent storms and heat, but his is in June. What is going to happen in July/August? Great layout but poor management.

While, I was excited to play this new course, afterward I left a little disappointed. Staff and amenities were top notch, but the course condition wasn't. The greens were slow and bumpy, some already worn by the heat, the rough along some of the fairways was clumpy and uneven, poor drainage on a few fairways and chipping areas by greens were soggy and wet. Maybe I expected too much since it was new, I will give it another try, but not at the full rate.

At this price this is the best course around! A 4:50 min round on Saturday was enjoyable as well as the great scenery. Greens rolled true and fairways were very generous. Friendly staff was out spotting balls for players. Would like to see more yardage markings but the guide was very helpful. Cool that they had all their demos on the range and the pro was conducting a public clinic as well. I took the clinic and easily saved 5 shots! Great new addition to the area and a must see.

Excellent layout and condition for a new course. A few greens showing some wear from heat but very nice. Range balls in cart a nice touch and the rangers spotting balls show first class service as well as the bag drop staff. A few spotty areas in the fairway should be fixed in time.

Nice track! Will get even better as it continues to develop. Played in Solstice like the other guys. It rained 3 inches the night before so greens were not quick and fairways pretty wet in the AM round. Would like to see it on a dry day. Definately invest in a yardage book. Staff was nice and the food was very good. Bunkers were inconsistent but mostly due to the rain.

Excellent new course. Greens were a little slow but rolled smooth mostly. Not sure it would be fair to speed them up to 11 with the slopes. In good shape for a new layout and will only get better. Nice range, clubhouse and golfshop. Reviews on the cart girls are true! Talked to the pro who was out on the course talking to the players. I will definately be back rather than fight the bridge to Queenstown and others. Only negatives was CPO and the number 5 green was bumpy due to heat stress.

Played today in the Solstice Cup Event. After 3 rounds in one day, I can say this is the hands down best test of golf in our area! Will say it will beat Bulle Rock and destroy Queenstown this Fall. Suffered a little from the severe heat but the course layout was awesome! The staff, the food, and service were all first rate. Nathan, the pro is a great guy and "gets it" with golf in this area. These guys are here for the long haul. I could play it every day. Cart girls get an A+ plus also!

Amazing course, must play! Most beautiful course I have played around this area. Very challenging, especially for the first time out. Get a yardage book to know where you're going. Keep it in the fairway because missing it often means side hill lies or tough rough. Gorgeous clubhouse, get the burger and curly fries, so good. Oh, and a HOT cart girl.

Blind shots off the tee, very few yardage markers. Greens were very slow. Buy a yardage book! Practice range is grass but landing area is on a hill. The fringe and areas around the greens are shaved but the practice green is surrounded by thick rough? Shouldn't you make the practice green similar to what you'll find on the course? Pace of play was slow. Marshals were at least trying to speed up play. Good course but not great.

I played after reading the reviews in the magazines and on the sites and must say it lived up to expectations! Expect to play in 4:30 as it is challenging. I thought the grill at the turn was cool and got a burger, chips and a beer for about $10. The all grass range is great, way better than mats. I also learned that they will be doing tee times off #1 and #10 in July as some kind of "Beat the heat" program. I recommend it. Even for the $95 price, it was a lot of fun and great greens!

Wow! Played the course today and was amazed! Even though the heat was tough, they had great conditions. The greens weren't super fast, but consistent, only 1 or 2 were suffering from heat. The staff even brought iced towels out. Pace was 4:22 at 1:30! Talked to the GM and learned the ladies ratings and the GPS charting of the course will be finished in the next week, so the scorecards can be completed and additional yardages put out. What a spot, three cheers! A must play over and over!

This new course has spectacular greens and a great layout. Rough in places still growing in, but solid overall. Sand traps are sub par, however. Very little sand in any of them and completely compacted. Location is a little shaky just as an FYI. One of the players in our group had his clubs stolen last week from the bag drop area! This is a beautiful course though and well worth the drive and fee.

Not much for writing reviews on courses but this one rates my effort. Up front, my overall opinion is this is the best overall course and facility in the metro area. A few minor issues which I believe will be fixed in due time. First, no GPS or comp yardage book and no HCP of holes on score card. Course is very fair, no tricks, but course management and shot making is critical. Has one of every lake, pond, stream, bunker, hazard, slope, and tree line imaginable. A must play!

This is an excellent course now and will only get better as it matures. Be sure to get a hot dog as it was the best one I've had.

Played yesterday and the course was in great shape. Excellent practice facilities & nice grass range. Greens were kind of slow throughout, but rolled smooth. Need to add more yardage markers & the course plays very tough with the wind on the lake. If you haven't played the course before get a yardage book, there are plenty of hidden things you should know about. Plus, there are no diagrams of the holes anywhere. Definitely played harder than the given rating and slope. I hope to play it again soon.
