Double Bogey

Played here again this weekend, things took a dramatic turn for worse. First course I can recall having ever played there isn't a discount given for recent aeration. I noticed this problem as we walked past practice green and yet nothing. Not even a free range bucket. Course is in iffy enough shape as it is and then management does something like that. No wonder there is no one here. $55 is a rip-off for greens in this bad of shape as is everything else. Avoid like the plague.

Most comments are still dead accurate. Conditions are shaky here all over. Love the layout, but not enough people play to let them maintain it. You pay a bit more than it's worth, but with so few people that's a huge plus for a quick round. Drainage here is bad, never ever play for a couple weeks after a soaker. To bad because layout is one of the best in the area. If you temper your expectations on conditions it's an enjoyable course a couple times a year though!

Nice club house with amenities, yardage books affixed to carts and course is empty so play at your pace is nice. But, course needs a lot of TLC, especially the fairways where crab grass and other weed type plants have taken over the fairways and tee boxes. There were enough mushrooms growing in the fairways that I could have made a salad! Tough location, way back in farm country. I hope they can revive this course?

Fun challenging course amd I can always get the tee times I request. Guests I bring want to play at KG again. The course offers offers a frequent players card, 5 rounds you get the 6th free. The course is next to an airport where WWI and WWII planes fly from. The area is very quiet and never crowded. On the other side, The price might be a bit high and the course doesn't drain very very good. Overall it's a fun course; thumbs up.

This place has some potential, but the conditions are keeping this from being a worthwhile play. They just don't seem to cut the grass very often here. And unless we're in the midst of a severe drought, expect the fairways to be soggy. Apparently drainage is a problem here. Again, the pace of play is usually good here, but I guess there's a reason for that. Greens are generally slow and kind of bumpy.

The course is nice because it's not that crowded and the rates are pretty cheap. The fairways are reasonably wide which favors less experienced players. My major complaint would be that out of 4 times I've played the course, I've encountered rude employees twice. One was a desk person that was reluctant to give a rain check and the other was the starter who should NOT be in a job where he has contact with the public.
