Mixed feelings about the course. If you're a decent golfer then don't waste your time. The design is stuck in a golf era long gone by. 400 yard Par 5, which is really a Par 4 but routes you around this bunch of trees making you hit 3 shots. Unless you go up and over the trees. On the other hand it's the perfect place for hackers and new golfers which seems to be the clientele it attracts. No range, chipping and putting green. The conditions were average to below average at best.

Course is still green and good condition. Fairways and greens aren't too beat up with the humidity we've had. Great course to work on your short game and middle irons.

Heavily used course with golfers ranging from beginners, seniors and experienced players practicing their game. Good thing about Jefferson District is that you can use Driver and all the clubs in your bag. Nice course to walk and it is relatively flat and reasonably priced. Clubhouse has food and beverages and offers carts and hand carts too.

This is a great place to learn the game. It also serves a valuable market niche in this area. More and more people do not have the time and/or the money to play 18-holes of golf on a championship length course. Jefferson is a solid executive course. The conditioning will not win any awards; bare spots in fairways are common and the greens are slower than molasses, but this is typical of most municipal courses. More experienced players are better playing elsewhere.

Best for relaxed two-hour golf. Greens and fairways are well maintained and really affordable in terms of both money and time. Staff is very friendly. One gripe is that the course is pretty short in distance.

For an inexpensive 9-hole course in an excellent location, this course can't be beat. I play there several times a week; the staff is friendly and the course is enjoyable and walker-friendly. This actually used to be a full 18 hole course, but was pared back to 9 holes many years ago. The course tends to stay in good condition despite heavy use. Pace can be slow at times, as the course fills up with casual golfers, and the many trees/water hazards can swallow errant balls. Two thumbs up!
