Tees, greens and fairways are in very good shape. The design is good for a muni and there are some good deals for weekday rounds via the county website. I did however have two issues. The rough is burned out but thats the norm currently with other courses currently due to the lack of rain, not that big a deal. The one true issue are the bunkers. Way to thin, nothing but dirt and rocks. There is a bunker renovation project going on but the bunkers are open, not marked off as ground under repair. If conditions are this bad then they should be closed.

A challenging course that will test your game, but is still a fair layout that allows you to recover on a good number of holes. Course winds through some beautiful homes and is in very good condition. Highly recommend if you haven't had a chance to visit yet.

Very nice layout with open fairways for your tee shots, There are many elevated greens so you need to be on with your irons. Overall good value.

Overall an excellent course, the greens and fairways are fantastic right now.

The course was in very good shape this past Sunday. Only complaint was some spotty rough off the beaten path. Greens, fairways, tees and bunkers were all in very good shape. There were a couple of bunkers marked ground under repair for maintenence but most had some fresh new sand as well. The course is one of the better municipals and you can find some good tee time deals on short notice online.

The course is in the best shape I've seen in the past couple of years. Considering the recent dry conditions and burned out conditions of other courses in the same area it speaks volumes about the great job the staff at Hampshire is doing. Greens, tees, fairways are all in good shape. There is some spotty rough off the beaten path but you really have to hit a bad shot to find most of these areas. If there is a complaint, it's the bunkers, to many rocks and not enough sand in green-side bunkers.

Fairways and greens were in great shape. Some tee boxes were a little worn, so I'm sure this will be an issue soon. The sand bunkers were absolutely awful! I'm not sure if they are renovating them soon, but I'm not returning until they have sand in them. Of course, if you never hit into the bunkers, then I'd say play the course :)

Played the course last Sunday and it was overall good condition. The greens are in the best shape that I've seen in the last few years. Fairways decent and rough not to tough. The bunkers however were nearly bare. I don't know if they plan on adding sand but nothings worse than a green side bunker shot with no sand. They have a good weekday special here and Little Bennett. Pay the regular morning 18 hole rate and get a free breakfast, lunch and replay in the afternoon for FREE. Great deal.

I played Hampshire Green on 3/14/07. I have always found this course to be in poor shape and no reason to be cart path only. Again I found this to be true. For claiming to be the premiere Montgomery County course they fail horribly. The rough was spotty, the fairways were all sand and the bunkers, almost all had not been raked in months and most had no sand in them. Tee boxes were not cut and not in good shape. A shame since Little Bennett and Falls Road were in much better shape this past weekend.

Played the course this past week. The greens were in good shape, a bit sandy but rolled nice. Fairways were in good shape, tees decent. There were a few bunkers that were being worked on but is expected in the winter. 18 is one tough closing hole.

Course was in great shape with wonderful greens and healthy, full, fairways. The layout is challenging and interesting, and houses in the neighborhood rarely come into play for even the worst side spinners.

Got in 14 holes yesterday before an evening thunderstorm. The course was in very good shape, showing no signs of stress that other course have due to the heat over the summer. Some tees have minimal divots and some of the rough was spotty, the fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Play was a bit slow but with the 1 p.m. fall twilight rate at $36 bucks; with cart it's a good deal.

I still think that this is one of the toughest courses in Montgomery County. It is usually very well maintained, but this time there were many bare spots on the fairways and some of the fairways looked burned out. The greens were fast as lightning and were not receptive to any shots. It made for a very difficult day. There was one bright side, the beverage cart girl.

Nice little layout located close to the beltway. Course however is already suffering from lack of water. The $51 green fee during the weekday is also a bit steep for this track. Clubhouse has full amenities and staff was friendly.

I was very disapointed in the conditions this past weekend, especially since the course is charging spring rates. Several tee boxes were closed and the one tee box that was open had tee markers that obviously hand't been moved since the fall. You had to tee out of bare ground and a severiouly divoted area. Rough was severly spotty with more bare spots than grass. Greens were in decent condition but still bumpy. If you're going to charge spring prices have decent conditions!

Greens and fairways obviously damaged and in need of or undergoing early phases of repair. Disappointed at overall quality of course.

I'm rating the course "below average" because they have a problem with something eating up their fairways right now. I love the layout and for a muni course, it's a steal, but the condition has really gone downhill in the last couple of weeks. Play here weekly and it's never crowded compared to others in the area but they need to fix those fairways quick before they're just another crappy muni course.

I try to play this course at least once a year. Good design and in good condition. This recent round I found a good amount of fairway with issues. I assume its some type of disease making patches hard and kinda crusted over. I guess with the heat and humidity they don't have time to dry out. Looks like it could turn into a real problem if they don't do something soon to fix the issue. Everything else was good as usual. Great deal after 4 p.m. 33 bucks for 18 with cart. Can't beat that!

Don't be fooled that this is a Montgomery Country public course. This place is no joke. Very tough if this is your first time out here. A fair amount of blind tee shots and approaches. Very fun though, and worth it. $65 on the weekend with rangeballs and cart.

If you were charged $30 dollars more, you might think you were at one of the high end daily fee courses in the area that get so much attention. The course has a quality and feel that make it a great challanging play. The lines of the course are very visually appealing with greens perched up on slight knowls making delicate approach shots. If you have a chance save your money and drive time that is the cost at the the daily fee bunch and check out this quality Montomery County run track.

I play a few of the courses close to me and recently made my second visit to Hampshire Greens. I was pleasently suprised at the condition. During my initial visit there last year it was not in the best of shape. The condition this time was very good with nice greens that were not to fast but will challange most average golfers like myself. I really like the layout but a few shots give you very little room for any error. The greens fees are reasonable when compared to other courses in the area.

Decent track in a housing development. Pretty close to the beltway and always busy on weekends. Large greens and a few neat holes. Pretty good practice facility.
