Double Bogey

This course is simply an embarrassment as a golf course. Not only is this course way too short, and the holes play shorter than the yardage, but, it is in horrible condition. It was impossible to tell what was fairway and what was the rough. The greens are tiny and hard as a rock. I came across a group of 6 and saw a group of 5 playing together. What a joke. It was an absolute waste of time to play.

Blow it up and build houses. This might be blasphemous for a golfer but it's just not a good course. I assume it makes money that's why the keep it around. They don't do much with it and its below average at best.

It was only $10 for 18 and wasn't worth it. Mid-summer and they don't bother to water. Hitting off fairways was like hitting off the cart path.

Yes, all the other ratings are true, bogey, but a good, quirky, honest bogey. This course is charming in a perverse, weird layout, in poor shape, inexpensive, kind of fun way. Don't expect pristine conditions and don't even expect to score well. The tiny greens and odd bounces will see to that. The course has number of very narrow driving holes and precariously placed greens on Par 3's.

It's far from upscale and I've played here for over 10 years. There's been steady improvement in the conditions over the past 2 or 3 years. It's best to play here during the spring before the course burns out in the summer. Short course that demands accuracy over power. But if you can hit your driver straight you should be able to chip and putt for a birdie on some par 4's.

Waste of real estate! Don't expect any fairway at all.

If you want cheap scruffy golf this is the place to go. Not exactly made for the country club set. I enjoyed this course and it's not like the more upscale courses throughout the DC area. Lots of hardpan and interesting shots through the trees, I have fun on the course riding around in a beat up old golf cart hacking my way down the fairways. Not really the place to take someone you want to impress.

Expect less, get more. This course is scruffy as hell, loaded with eccentric hole layouts and done in a style they call "Scottish" but I think they mean "we used a chainsaw to get rid of trees and planted greens but didn't do much with a bulldozer." Still, it's cheap, old-fashioned, backyard-style golf that sticks a fork in all the pretension and excess cost of other private courses in the area. I played off-season Sunday and I think it cost me $14 to play as many holes as I wanted.
