This is a decent course for the money. It's a fairly interesting layout with water coming into play on several holes. You'll use every club in your bag. Pros: Price. Very friendly staff. Cons: Many tee boxes are in terrible shape. One was simply all dirt. No driving range.

Course sees a lot of play and really SLOW play. Lots of walkers that seem to enjoy looking for golf balls in the woods and in the lakes rather than golfing. This happens with no one in front of them! I see why Marshalls here need to be pushy. The greens were really thick and very very slow. Some holes are pretty flat while others make use of the fairway target flag and are blind shots to the green. If you don't mind playing 5 plus hours on a weekday, then this course is for you.

Course seemed to be in good shape, although some of the pin placements were a joke. Marshals kept things moving for a 4.5 hour round on a weekend. Greens were SLOW and pretty inconsistent. Still, not bad for a muni on a weekend.

Double Bogey

I found the course to be in horrendous condition. Several tee boxes are completely dirt and crabgrass; several of the pin positions were nearly up against the edge of the greens at the far front or back because many greens are 50 percent dirt, 50 percent grass; those greens that were in good shape seemed like they'd been cut to fairway length. The only good news was that play was reasonably fast for this usually turtle-like course.

Good course if you want to keep it cheap and cheerful. Some interesting and challenging holes makes the course a better test than my other local muni Haines Point. Not in pristine shape. I played it a few times this spring and each time their greens were longer than fairways. The course looks like it would be nice if the greens were cut and rolled! If I play it again, I'll update this review with the "high season" conditions.

Course is very chellenging. Has lots of water, slops, hidden flags, sharp dog legs. Course management is a must. Par 3s are not easy at all. Course is in good shape on most holes and average on others. You will need to think about every shot. This course will bring you to your knees if you don't keep it stright.
