A good, albeit predictable layout. Little room for error off tee as most fairways run along creeks/swamps/environ. areas. Chose 6500-yd tees but found it to be easier than length. Par 4s were almost all less than 400-yards. Design makes up distance with par 5s. Conditioning was only average - tough winter left lots of browned out areas. Greens good but recent aeration made the difficult to judge. Staff friendly. Practice facility great. Grass range and smooth green but no chipping areas. Will return.

Te Course is no executive course and is pretty challenging, with 400yd par-4s, not a "pitch & putt course". It's much more difficult than the original course. It is long, lined with hazards, and has many hard-to-hold greens.

If you like an outstanding design and good test of game, then it doesn't get any better than the Norman Course at Lansdown. Conditions, service and staff is first rate at this private club. If you have a friend whose a member make sure he invites you out. You will not be disappointed.
