Falls Road was in great shape on Friday. 1st out of the gate made for a very quick round of golf. I always have some issues with the shorter holes at Falls but they help add diversity to the course that I still think is great after the redesign. Bunkers has sand which is my biggest complaint about public courses generally. Overall a great experience.

Course was very busy and usually is, however it was in very good condition. I was also happy to see golfers there replacing their divots and fixing ball marks on the greens. For a hot day, water was available on the course which was very nice. It has been some time since I have been to Falls Rd. and I was impressed.

Got in a round after work yesterday. The course was unbelievably lush and green. Fairways were tight, and the tee boxes were tidy. The bunkers had sand and had been raked. The rough was long, thick and extremely penalizing. The greens were the only sub-par thing about the course. They are growing in from aeration and are very close to being great, but on the night I went out they were a bit slow and bumpy. n a week, maybe two, the course is gonna be absolutely perfect shape!

For a muni with a relatively decent layout the current conditions were very good. They've done a good job on keeping the course in good shape. It is a busy course given the location but the price isn't bad. If you're a good player you should score well.

A course that should be so much more considering the rates that they charge and the play that they get. Rounds are slow, food service is a joke, beverage cart not running on a Saturday in July with 90 degree temps? Do they not clean the bathrooms at all on the weekends? Seems like they don't really care to make your experience as good as it should be. I guess they are satisfied that they will get play because the course is in good shape and the location is great.

Sure, it's crowded...just look at the unsightly driving range complex. It may be slow, and it's not the hardest course. Hackers abound. But I really like this course. A pretty property, interesting contrasting holes, in great shape considering the volume of play. I hadn't been there since they revamped it a few years ago, and was impressed that the re-routing of the front nine improved playability and interest. Holes 12 and 13 remain difficult tests. Walkable.

Good deal for the money. Friendly staff, good practice area. Fairways in good shape. The greens were slow, sandy and bumpy a major flaw.

The guys in the clubhouse are always awesome. The practice putting green was closed which hurt me the first few holes. Fairways were fine, bunkers had sand in them, but there were absolutely no rakes. The greens weren't aerated, but had sand all over them, which caused them to run a bit slow. The starter was sending groups off the front and back. So my group had to wait while a slow threesome ran up to the 10th tee in front of us. I hear that this happens often and it is quite annoying.

I know it's early in the season but if a course is going to be open you expect certain basics. The bunkers should be raked. At Falls yesterday, each bunker was compact and hard; close to unplayable and obviously had been touched in a long while. You expect water coolers on the course, how hard is it to put out a water cooler; especially on one of the first warm days of the year. As always customer service was poor, I know the location alone assures them of a full tee sheet but some effort of decent customer service would be nice.

The overall course is nice, but the fairways could use some work. There could be some simple things done to make the course much better, like more use of water and adding length to some par 4's. For example, hole one is reachable with a drive and a chip.

The course is decent but with the amount of play and level of player that plays here, I'll make a tee time elsewhere next time. I've played it a couple of times and the course is always slow and it seems mgmt doesn't want to do much about it. The new and old greens on the front nine play totally different with pace and firmness and the fairways are very thin and hard. Maybe a weekday round is better but on weekends expect 5 plus hours at least.

Falls Road receives a "Par" average because they allow players to walk the course on Saturday and Sunday mornings. 5-hour rounds are the norm and it shouldn't be at that course. Would it be that hard for the management to allow players to walk after noon only?! The conditions of the course were very good. No problems there. But after paying $57 to watch two foursomes ahead of us walk the course, I wanted some of my money back. Not what I was expecting from one of the better local courses

Fun course and in good shape! Fairways were very picturesque, new sand was in the traps, rough was just long enough and the greens were smooth running nice and fast. I could tell the difference between the new greens and the old ones, but they ran similarly. Just a couple of minor complaints. The first couple holes are close to the road which makes for a noisy start. Starter could have been friendlier, but he was trying to manage a very high volume of people in the practice area.

Ok, its near my house so decided to play with a friend recently who couldn't get to far away from the area. The course has character but the conditions need help. Why are the fairways so hard. Any wedge just bounces off the surface. Your supposed to hit down and through the ball and these fairways make is almost impossible. Every other green is different, one is hard and fast, next is soft and slow. How can you gauge putts/chips without consistency? Cheap and near the beltway it's best aspects.

An unpretentious course of modest length, Falls Rd. is a pleasure to play -- and plenty challenging enough for this duffer who has been unable to break 90 there thus far. The front nine is relatively easy except for the new par-5 fourth which requires going over or through a deep and wide dip that would be a ravine if not cut to rough standards. The back nine is tougher, with more trouble if you don't hit the ball straight.

First time I played the course since the remodel of the front nine. Decent shape and the fairways are tighter but still friendly. Only thing I didn't like are the new to older greens. The new greens play much faster and harder and the old greens are softer and receptive. Really messes with your head when trying to gauge chip shots and putts. I guess the new greens will soften over time. Staff was ok, just a very popular place on a nice day. Overall a decent muni.

Remodeling of the course has made the fairway tighter and longer. The conditions of the course are in very good shape and the staff is very helpful with tee times.

Falls Road has recently gone through a facelift. Many blind shots have been removed and new bunkers added. Pace of play is kept up by many marshalls that help the round go in a reasonable time even on the weekends. (4 hours 15minutes on my last round walking).

The new couse layout is a Par 70 that is fairly short, but remains enjoyable. If you have not played this course in a while, it is worth another look. It's location is ideal for those in MD near the Northern VA border.

Falls finally opened its renovated front 9 in July, and it's much improved. New routing has created several brand-new holes, the bunkers are filled with fresh sand (and several have been added), the new greens are (as you might imagine) still in great shape. Combined with the slightly-goosed-up back 9, it's a much more playable, fun, challenging course than it's been for years. Lousy practice green; a couple of holes still too close to a high screen that catches the inevitable slices.

Flat short course that is really in need of some TLC. Greens were the best part, however fairways and tee boxes were chewed up and in rough condition. Good course too get your feet wet if you are a beginner. Clubhouse however boasts a great pro shop and bar/food area. Staff was coordial and helpful.
