Play here on April 4th. The course was in great shape although the greens still showed signs of aeration. Looking forward to playing here again soon.

Just played Diamond Ridge after 2 weeks of solid rain. Folks, the drainage project they embarked on two years ago was a complete success. The course played very well, and even the bunkers were in great shape. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all in excellent shape. They are, of course, poanna greens, so they are not lightning fast, but they are fair. This may be the best bargain in the area right now. Paid $27 to walk yesterday at 1:30. Try doing that in Montgomery County.

Great shape for the winter. Greens, teeboxes, fairways are all in good shape. Rough is pretty thin; from the summer I expect. In much better shape than Woodlands right now with work going on over there.

Very nice course, especially for the price. Greens were soft but smooth for putting. Good mix of tough and easy holes, though I felt the back nine was tougher overall. Pace of play was great for a Saturday morning. The new pace of play rules must be working pretty well. I will definitely play here again.

A very enjoyable course at a good price unless you want to walk on a weekend morning - they charge you $12 for a cart even if you don't use it. Sad that the County is actually providing an incentive for people NOT to get exercise. The course has a wide variety of holes on a nice piece of land - tight to wide open; flat and hilly; dog legs both left and right. Even one water hole - a par 3. The environmental areas can catch stray shots but local rules provide for a free drop (no penalty). Usually pretty good conditions for a muni although the greens are painfully slow every once in a while. Hope they can avoid the blight which hit their fairways a year or two ago. They recovered from that amazingly fast but it was horrible for the duration. The whole County system is undertaking a Pace of Play initiative. It will be interesting to see if they give their marshalls the authority to move slow groups forward.

Just like last year, the course premiered this year in excellent condition - & for $30 on the weekend, you could not beat the value in the Washington/Baltimore area. However, played it on Sunday, 7-10, and the course was horrible. Fairways were so thick - they had not been mowed in over two weeks! Parts of the fairways had these weird grids filled in with gravel - perhaps they are addressing drainage problems. Officially, this course should no longer be listed as a "premium" course!

Crowded public course. BUT, value for the $$ is OK. Often slow, not always in the best shape, but challenging enough and if you are looking for $/value it's not a bad choice.

Nice county owned course just outside of Baltimore, so good for us who still live in the city and like to play golf. The course is always in decent condition even with the heavy amount of play it gets. Some of the back holes are a bit more intersting than the front but it does have some neat elevation changes that make the course challanging for me the bogey golfer. But what makes the course an above rated course is the price. You won't find this quality of course for a better price anywhere.

Nothing spectacular. Convenient from Baltimore area and easy to get tee times. Greens tend to be slow and uneven. Used to be a good bargain but now is average value. Good practice areas. Mix of well-designed holes and bad ones. The course will quench your golf thirst when the weather is nice and you have few hours to kill. Plenty of beginners and bogey players. If you want faster pace and better conditions, fork up about twenty more bucks for the spectacular Woodlands Golf Course on the premise.
