Not everyone likes this course, since it's tight and has some bizarre holes. But now that the course has repositioned itself as a bargain offering, it's worth a play. It's in great shape but for a couple of lost tee boxes. The pace moved reasonably well, and inexpensive; $39 to $49. Unfortunately the most memorable and vexing hole; the 450 plus par 4 14 through the quarry canyon; is not what it was visually due to ICC construction next door. If you can hit it straight, it's a fun course.

I thought the course was well maintained. I played on a Monday and the crews were out filling in divots. I found the management staff friendly and helpful. Greens were in great shape. Strongly recommend a GPS unit to make your play more enjoyable. Watch out for the geese on No. 9. I was able to play all my clubs and that's all you can really hope for in a course. I did not find that the homes were too close to the course. Great experience.

Good conditions and clubhouse and range are nice. On the other side the design is tight and just a bit gimmicky on a couple of holes. Typical housing development course. They have some decent email specials.

Another course built and forced into a housing community. Not enough room for a golf course here. On some holes you are very close to peoples houses. It feels like you want to invite yourself up for tea on their deck. The course was in bad shape with fairways brown and greens that were very slow and not cut. The conditions were just horrible. A complete joke to pay $72 on a weekend to play this course, it is not close to worth that money. They got me once, but I will not be back.

Played here this morning for $44 with a cart. Good price considering course is right off the beltway. Fairways and greens looked good, but course gets a lot of play and is a little banged up from wear & tear. Doesn't help when golfers aren't replacing divots and repairing ball marks on greens. Traps on number 10 looked like 3 people went in and "no one" even bothered to rake after play. Otherwise, nice clubhouse and amenities and definitely a tight challenging track too. Got to hit the ball straight!

My golf game wasn't ready for this very tight course this early in the season. If you weren't in the fairway, you were in the woods or OB. Bring extra balls if you don't consistently drive the ball straight at this very challenging course. It was in great shape with a great finishing hole. Not over priced. They even provide small coolers and ice for your cart!

A very tight course but a great course to play. Bring extra golf balls! The only negative is that the driving range is irons only other then that, great course!!

Course is in good shape considering the drought this summer. Its been worse here before, so they've done a good job keeping it up. The fairways and greens are in good condition, although the greens are always slow. My biggest complaint is the geese; they really need to get a dog or something to chase them away from the greens. There's nothing worse than to lineup your putt only to see 5 freshly laid turds in the way! The course is already hard enough, so no more outside influences please.

I love this course, the course is so tight whenever I go there it helps me with my swing and rhythm. You cannot swing too hard here, even a little miss hit, you will loose the ball. Every hole is unique. I would say this course is a must play for everyone, you will not only enjoy playing here but also improve your game. They have really good twilight rates. I am a big fan of this course.

The course was in pretty nice condition overall. There were some divot filled fairways, but that is to be expected in august. That said, they run a few gimmicks none of which were worth while. It was supposed to be $55 with a cart and range balls; according to their website, but they said if we wanted balls we would have to pay extra for them. And even if you do go to the range it's irons only. All in all, it was an ok course, but there are better values around.

Attended an outing here yesterday and certainly a turnaround from my visit in 2004. Staff was very attentive and the course is in great shape (especially now that summer is over !!) Fairways, tee boxes, and greens are in good shape and are a lush green. Just stay in the fairway as this course isn't forgiving if you slice or hook. Especially now with the leaves falling, if your in the woods, odds are you won't find your ball. But you may come out with three others !

Tee boxes all chewed up, thousands of fairway divots not repaired and the green at #3 was covered in geese droppings, but the worst thing of all it was 95 degrees and they had 1 water tower placed at number 18!!!! Driving range was also a joke. What a shame, this course has a little potential

This is a fun course, worth a single visit or routine play. Each hole is different, no hole is boring. Very pretty in places with lots of environmentally restricted areas with great blue herons, hawks and songbirds. There are 5 par 3s, only one of which is easy. Back nine more challenging than front nine. Fabled 14 is visually intimidating but fair. You can drive 17 if you can work the ball right to left, but trouble if you miscalculate. A fine course and easy to get to. Good staff.

Course is very tight . Alot of blind shots, I thought the greens were slow. If you can`t hit the fairways bring alot of balls.

Goofy golf in every sense of the word. Mostly wedged on bad land so houses could have as much good land as possible. Unless you're a single handicapper, leave the driver in the trunk, (unless you can land the ball on the hood of a volkswagon). Also very slow play, had to leave after 14 holes because the round was taking so long. Decent to good condition on fairways and greens.

The promoters make way too much of the "Colorado mountain" feeling of the back nine. It's more of a "worked out PG County shale quarry"feeling. But it's still neat and sort of exotic. Essentially this is a high-quality, close-in daily fee course of good design. It plays tough, and you have to keep the the fairway, especially on the back nine. (One hole you have to split a chute of shale to get it on the fairway.) Several greens are outright devious. Range-ball deal a pure rip-off.

This course is perhaps one of the best value courses for your money in the entire region. $45 twilight weekends and $35 weekday rates are very good for this quality course. $6 for 20 range balls is a bit steep though.#14 borders on being unfair. Very convenient to the beltway too! Last round = 86 HDCP = 11

Course was in good shape for a real hot day. Bad news is that emenities really were on the down side. Water coolers were empty and the service at the clubhouse was horrible. Myself and others at the bar were literally staring at the bar staff as they talked among themselves and ignored us like we were all mannequins !! Also whatever you do, don't order a hot lunch if you are just finishing the front nine, you'll never get back out to finish your round.

A great new addition to the mid-Atlantic region. A fairly tight course with limited room for error, a true shot makers course. Very good variety of holes with the more challenging 9 being the back 9.You will use every club in your bag to attack the medium size greens. For a 2 year old course, it is in great condition. CC offers a very competitive annual membership and the customer service is right on par. The right club selection off the tee & accuracy on the fairways is critical.

Really bad fairways, greens, and there was no grass on the range. Nice proshop and grill area, but that is about it.
