Played the course last weekend and everything except the bunkers are in good shape. It's a quality design for what you pay. Staff and service is good and they have a good practice area. A step above municipal quality at a decent price.

I played the North & East courses recently and even though it’s been dry the fairways were quite wet. Course was not in very good shape and the fairways and tee boxes were quite beat up. Greens were in better shape but many pin placements were on slopes with crowns around holes. Sand traps were hard mud traps. Rough was non-existent and ground was very hard so balls missing the fairway continued rolling into unplayable areas. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Buying a yardage book is money well spent. There are areas that look inviting off the tee box, but you may find that is not the best place to put your ball. There are some terrific par 3's on both courses. If you are a big hitter there are some drive-able par 4's.

North and East course: I'm rating this course above average since course layout is the most important thing to me. Layout is interesting & challenging but fair. This course has such potential to be great but the light rough throughout the course is very pock-marked with bare areas & clumped grass. The greens fees are too high given the level of service - few distance markers on the fairways, no scorecards in the carts, seldom-seen beverage cart, & other issues. I hope they get it together or cut fees or both.

The fairways and especially the greens are in excellent shape. Major downsides: the mounds where the rough is supposed to exist consisted of grass lumps and hard pan; meaning, if you slightly miss the fairway, even onto the up slope of a mound, your ball will kick or roll freely into thick brush/woods. The overall feel of the course is plain ugly and uninspiring! Fees are way too high.

I played the golf course about a week ago and was very impressed with the conditions. This was the first time I played Compass Pointe and can't wait to see the course when winter is over.

Upon arrival was very excited, Staff was not very receptive, kind of uppity, this is not an elite private course. Other wise course very nice shape, pace was good. I played the North/East course. Just not an overall great experience. For the price and drive I would rather play Queenstown or Upland.

Played it three times. It's too expensive for a public course. I’m tired of their Cart Path only rules. I won't be back any time soon.

I went out to play as part of a batchelor party on 5/13 with a couple of guys who could really play. We played the North and South Courses. I played from the white tees, it was still a challange for me. The fairways were in amazing condition being that it had rained a few days ago. The greens were amazingly quick. The service was wonderful as well. There were a few traps that neede to be raked. but all in all it was a great experience.

Played the course recently with a friend and thought it was a pretty good course. There were a couple of issues though. The rough was spotty and made for some very hard lies that really effected my shots. The greens are tough and don't hold shots very well you better be able to make good chip shots. The fairways are hard and fast. You gotta be able to control shots to score well. The pace was a bit slow but is expected on nice Sunday. All in all a decent course at a decent price. I look forward to playing the South/East.

Nice new course just outside of Baltimore. Played there this past Saturday. A nice design with very hard firm fast greens so have your putter in good shape before your round.Clubhouse was kinda plain but the cart vixens were some of the best around. :)
