Very challenging track from the blue tees. Although the greens had some rough spots they rolled very well. No.6 Green on the North course should be blown up and re built, Too tricked up for my taste. A downhill 4 foot missed putt easily becomes a 8 ft up hill putt. Too PB Dye for me. Other than that, the course was challenging, scenic and playable. I will go back for certain.

The course is fairly challenging with many holes requiring a lay-up. One major complaint, the price is too expensive for a public course and they don't give county residents a discount like Howard County at Timbers. Also, there is no hole layout scorecard information, so the first or second time around it's the blind leading the blind.

The set up there is North\East and South\West now. I enjoy both a lot more than I used to. The conditions are improving and the staff is friendly. Both 18's are in great shape and you can't go wrong with playing either one. The North\East is the favorite, but don't overlook the South\West. Make a day of it and play both. I live just down the street, so I play a lot of golf there and I recommend both.

This is a decent course but overrated course. The conditions are so-so. I think it too expensive for the conditions.

Enough water, environmental and tight areas to make for a challanging round. Course was in good shape for April. I play 50 plus courses a year and will definitely be going back.

Summer has certainly taken its toll on this course like many others. Dry conditions have really beat up the fairways and being a young course, it is taking a double hit. Layout of the S/E is certainly challenging with its bending fairways and greens. Certainly a course to visit in the future, however I think I'm done playing it this year.

I agree with Eddie. The course is lacking grass everywhere except the greens. Horrible course conditions.

Played Saturday, Sept. 10. GolfinAmigos should have warned everyone that since this course is new, it has ALL of the problems of a new course. The tee boxes either (1) had no grass, or (2) were like teeing it up in the rough. The rough, ironically, was non-existent. The fairways were desperately in need of a cut. The greens were ok. For $55-$65, this course was VERY VERY over-priced. In the condition it's in now, it should be more like $15-$20. I'm not kidding. Try it in 3 years.

Got out and played the new East nine and it was my favorite of all four at Compass Pointe. Like the other 3 nines its a good mix of different holes and makes you think about club selection on the last three holes. Make sure and use an iron off the number 9 tee because there is little room for error that you can't see around the dog leg. The course still needs a couple of years to mature. Nice conditions all around but the greens are bit hard and fast for my tastes, a good tough course overall.
