My wife and I played this course, and it was in was in excellent condition considering the extended drought in the area. Greens were aerated about a week ago, and were still in decent condition (albeit a little slow). Fairways and tee boxes were terrific, the layout was enjoyable, and there were no pace of play issues on a Monday afternoon. The only drawback was its length from the red tees...roughly 5500 yards. Staff was friendly, but the service at the snack bar was slow.

Played Cacapon in early June and the course was in very nice condition, is on a beautiful piece of land and is an interesting layout, but not real difficult. GREAT people, except for one ranger who lit us up in a very rude way for violating the 90 degree cart rule. Starter didn't tell us! Also it's a Robert Trent Jones Sr. course.

Loved the course lay-out with the ridges all around this tight-knit valley. The strategic placement of traps kept the round interesting and the beauty of the place made for an extremely enjoyable round of golf. The course never really climbs drastically though the back nine does begin to ascend a ridge. Every hole was interesting, so none stick out drastically. A nice combination of open golf near the clubhouse and mountain golf away made for a wonderful experience.

The course was very nice even under the extreme heat conditions they faced over the past two weeks. The people in the clubhouse, starte and rangers couldn't have been nicer if they tried. Great place to play.

Best value course in WV!
Nice course with tight fairways and good greens. Beautiful scenes with the mountains in the background. Friendly people with good service.
Rooms are small in the lodge but who cares, we were there to golf.
