For a local par 3 course, things were in remarkable shape. All tee boxes were good, with the exception of one on the front 9 that had virtually no grass. Greens were also in pretty darn good shape -- a bit long and slow for my tastes, but pretty good nevertheless. Layout is your typical par 3 course -- a bunch of super short holes, the rest about average for your white-tee player.

Good course to come out and work on your short game. Pace is slow, however course is in fair shape and the staff is always friendly. Beats going to the driving range to work on your irons!!

Burke Lake Golf Course is a great course for beginers and for the more experienced player. While not lacking some tough holes most are simple and fairly short, because it is a Par 3 course. The fairways and greens are kept very well. The only slight hassle would be the geese on the playing course. Besides that Burke Lake has plenty to offer and will help you keep your short game up to Par. Also look for the summer deals, only 8$ to play 9 and only 11$ to play 18 holes on Mon, Tues., and Wends.

This 18 hole course is a great par 3 for beginning golfers or those wanting to fine tune their skills. Many of the greens are sloped with undulations and difficult to read. Although it is a par 54 and not rated, I would rate its overall slope about 120 by comparison to courses with similar greens, fairway widths, and hazards. Key features: Water hazards on holes 2 and 7. Single bunkers on holes 1, 3, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 18. Double bunkers on holes 9 and 17.

Fun par three course. All different shapes and sizes of holes, from under 100 yards, to about 180 or so. This is not just a pitch and putt by any means! Definitely a fun time, although it gets packed sometimes.
