I have played here about 5 times this summer and the conditions have remained fantastic through both the wet streaks and the heat. The greens roll pretty quick for a "beginner's" nine and the rest of the course is in great shape consistently. From the middle tees, this course plays fairly short, but both holes 5 and 6 are longer than average. From the back tees this course can give a bit of a test to the accomplish golfer. With wide fairways, there is still plenty of sand and water to avoid.

This course was a pleasant surprise for being a 9-hole course. Not a single hole resembled any other hole on the course, and it was a fairly tight layout. The course conditions were excellent and the greens were rolling quite nice. I drove by this course for 5 straight years without a hesitation to stop. Next time I will consider stopping by for an enjoyable 9.

I have played this course regularly for the last two year. They do an outstanding job of keeping the course up. While it is only a 9-hole course, there are some very interesting holes that most golfers; except the low handicap golfer, will find challenging without being gimmicky. There are holes that demand well positioned drive and others where you can let it all out. The greens putt true with reasonable breaks. The staff is especially pleasant and accommodating. I highly recommend playing the course.

Broad Run is a hidden gem. A short but challenging nine-hole par 35 lay-out designed by Rick Jacobson (also did Augustine and Bull Run). The bentgrass fairways are soft and well-maintained; the tee boxes and greens are in good shape. Unlike many other courses Broad Run is walker friendly. The practice area features a large, well-maintained putting green, plenty of target greens on the driving range, grass tees and one of the best short game area's available anywhere. Definitely worth a try.
