Played here Saturday and found that the Zoisia fairways have turned yellow and died off. There isn't anything really left but a muddy sod and when you tee off, your in better shape aiming for the rough then the fairway. I was disappointed with the $60 they charged me for the conditions that were present. I'd advise to keep away from this place until spring when the grass comes back. I like the layout of the course and the staff is always friendly. Can't wait to hit this one next year.

Summer conditions are among the best in the area with the Zoisia fairways. Greens are usually in good shape and roll pretty well. Course knowledge is needed for several holes on the front and the driver is out of your hands on the front par 5s as well. Back nine has a links flavor to it and is fun to play. Pace of play is usually OK, periodic backups. Overall nice course.

I've rated this course before and there's a lot to like. But what wasn't to like was a 6 plus hour round and an unconcerned Marshall patrolling the grounds. The office staff did offer us the opportunity to play the front nine again when we were stacked three deep on the 11th tee, but there were just too many people at too many closely spaced tee times. Heavy rough and some target drives may take the driver out of your hands on many holes, depending on the tees you play.

If you take advantage of some of the bargains available here and can hit the ball straight, this is a good option. Playing this weekend, the rough was up, the fescue was up in the waste areas and all but two holes had fine fairways, watch out for 10 and 16. Greens were running fast and true. Pick the right set of tees as a number of holes require a precise distance calculation off the tee. There is minimal development on the course, a good tradeoff for spaced holes.

I really like the course, especially the zoysia fairways. The staff is extra friendly and the course offers plenty of challenge yet rewards good play. A bit further out than others but for the value and quality of golf experience you get it can't be beat. The course was still dormant this past weekend and some work around the course for spring maintenance was going on. The greens were in very good shape, rolling nicely.

Although the course has a couple of gimmicky holes where driver is taken out of your hands, the greens are fast and true. Fairways are in good shape and the course is worthy of play.

Played this past Saturday and paid $35 for 18 and a cart. Pace on the front 9 was extremely slow but that's what I expect on a Saturday with no course marshal. I didn't hit driver all day, stuck with my 3 wood and was at or inside 150 yards all day. The sand traps felt like concrete, packed dirt is how I would describe it. Some holes are too close together, only the cart path separates fairways, watch out! Tee box, fairways and greens were in good shape, A plus will play again!

Played on the 10th of June at twilight...pace of play was a little slow, however for the money you can't beat it. Greens are in perfect shape, and layout is nice. Sand Traps were a bit hard, but then again we are in NOVA!

Greens were in great shape and I enjoyed the challenge of this course. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Course has a good number of water holes, particularly wetlands that cross in front of the fairway which forces you to either lay up short or try to carry. I can't wait to play this course again next year in the spring or summer when conditions are a bit warmer. Not far from Route 66 and worth a visit.

The zoysia fairways are unique for this area and virtually ensure great playing conditions. The course is good, but nothing special. The creek that meanders through the property is overused and comes into play on too many holes. In addition, the design of the 18th hole is contrived and goofy, requiring a layup off the tee and then a 200 yard approach shot over water.

A gem of a course! Always in great shape and well maintained. Course is links style which suits my game. A must play for the area - price is also very reasonable.

Good course and it's usually empty. Greens are great and a decent design. Links style course, good value and conditions are usually good plus not much play so no 5 hour rounds.

Wow, it's the first and last thought after playing this course. It was a 2 hour drive for me but I will be back. Unlike most courses that had virtually no water this year, this course was in great shape. From tee boxes to the FANTASTIC greens. Cannot attest to all the fairways, I only hit about half, but even the rough was in decent shape. The personal they have in the clubhouse was very nice and proffessional. This is a golf course that all should take advantage of.

Dumb luck to play course 10 days after greens were aerated. I hope the greens are good when normal. Rough was up and cart path only on this day- aargh. Brutal. If you miss the narrow fairways (15 yards at chokepoints) which you will nine out of ten times, then wedge out to fair way and go.You will get baked in the sun on this links-style course (i.e. no shade providing trees). Smallish greens and no yardage markers on course. Bad golfing expeirence - I need to regain my enthusiam to play
