The best thing about the course is the design. Not bad and lots of character for a park run golf course. The facilities are decent including the range and practice area. The greens however had to be the worst greens I've ever played. They were recently aerated but even without the 1950s puncture wounds that made keeping any putt even somewhat on line a problem; the grass is a variety of 20 different kinds. I don't see these greens ever being consistent or running smooth. Plus a full price charge..Thanks!

This course is in good shape for this time during the year. The fairways are a bit chewed up, but definitely playable, and the greens are in good conditions with nice rolls. The course itself is pretty flat and not too interesting, but its location out in the countryside, makes it very relaxing. There are a few claustrophobic holes - tight fairways - but overall the course is open and spacious with nice views and greenery. There are also little area of Civil War remnants, which add character

Unlike a previous poster, I like this layout. Not thrilling, but reasonably diverse. I liked that you can walk, that the price is OK, and that it's a secluded setting; near a high school, but otherwise no houses. The bad? Horrific conditions except for sand, slow play, wet. No one repairs ball marks here and the fairways are in bad shape. Could have been a "bogey", but I give a lot of courses leeway in August.

Played the day before Thanksgiving. The course is in great condition for late fall. Greens are still running true, sand is still fluffy and the tees and fairways are great. If you like to walk, I highly recommend this course.

The fairways and rough a pretty beat up from the summer play and the recent lack of rain. It may be best to play elsewhere until later this fall when it should be in better shape. The staff, especially the guy at the counter in the clubhouse really needs lessons in speed and courtesy.

Course is in excellent shape, from tee boxes to green. Pace of play was great, probably because we had one of the better starters I've come across. They've recieved a fleet of brand new carts, which was a nice surprise, especially for a county-run course. A good deal for $59 on the weekend.

Played today, it's an average public course. The greens were in good shape and rolled nicely. On the down side, the tee boxes for the par-3's were closed so those holes had temporary tees.

A flat, bland, rough course. No water, elevation, or imagination to be found. Greens were extremely slow and bumpy, except for the practice green. Price seems reasonable until you realize what you're getting. Another very major negative, you can't take carts into the parking lot! Who does that any more? The only thing I liked was the 4 Par 5's all over 500 yards. That's pretty rare from white tees. My recommendation, avoid it like a festering boil on your...

Agree with previous posters. A very good course for the money. Top shape for a muni. Greens are in good condition, although relatively slow. Fairways are above average. The layout in fairly vanilla. It's interesting for good golfers, while not brutal to beginners, allowing run-up approaches to most holes, with few hazards to carry. Tee times are very inconvenient. You can't call the course. They require a paid subscription to some sort of online tee time service, odd for a public course. The starter told me that it's very hard to book a tee time, unless you get online exactly when the weekend AM times are released. Overall, a well conditioned course, providing great value for the price.

Course was in pretty good shape for early March, especially since there's been two snows in the past month. Greens were better than expected, bunkers were very nicely groomed too. And you can't complain about $20 to walk 18 during the week. Only complaint was the extremely rude staff member running the cash register.

Great course for the price. Always in great shape and probably the best among the NVRPA courses.

A lot nicer than I expected for a muni. Played late afternoon on a Friday - little pricey at $50. Packed course, nearly 5 hour round. I am shocked that they let walkers on when it is this crowded. Course was in great shape - fairways, greens all in good condition. Understaffed in the proshop, waited 20 min in line just to check in. No rangers or beverage cart out on the course.

Played on a Monday night after work in incredible heat. The course was in good shape. Tee boxes and greens were amazing. Fairway had a few rough spots, but nothing to worry about.

The pace of play was disappointing. Single walkers were not grouped together and caused all kinds of delays. We were lucky to finish before the sun went down. We never saw a marshall the entire round.

Older, tree-lined muni. Not a 'resort' for darn sure, but tees & greens generally in good shape and most fairways in good shape as well. Rather tight drives due to the mature trees that line most fairways, greens are generally pretty slow and not terribly undulating. It's a very pleasant afternoon, but not a place you need to go out of your way to play.
