Course is average to a little below average on an East Coast rating I would rate the course a 3-4 on a scale from 1 to 10, if you have ever played Harbor Town PGA in Hilton Head South Carolina this course is a 9 Compared to Myrtle Beach courses like Barefoot Resort I rate them a 7 and Big Bend WV a 3. Big bend has the potential to be a good course, it gets a lot of play but no money goes back into the course for the necessary repairs. Currently the course is in bad shape and in need of repairs.

I drive many miles out of my way, past several other courses, to play Big Bend. I've always liked this course. There's just a special ambiance that it has by being on Coal River, especially the back side of the course. I think it'll always be my favorite.
