The Bay Club didn't impress me a whole lot. They brag about their Zoysia fairways which admittedly are very nice but overall the course was in only average condition and most of the holes looked the same. There was no real transition from fairway to rough at all, and the bunkers were mostly mud. I should have gone back to River Run; I had a good experience there and it looks like it's still in great shape according the Amigos' review, and I had a coupon for $49 weekday, a steal of a rate.

This is a nice parkland-style course that provides a pleasant setting for a round of golf. The course is tree-lined on every hole, expect number 9. Except for a handful of burned greens, the course was in great shape. The fairways were thick and lush. There is an island green called "Devil's Island", a peninsula green, and "BAY CLUB" is trimmed into the bushes across the long pond that fronts both number 9 and 18; both are par 5's. The weekend afternoon price is reasonable at $39; cart included.
