If you like your golf long and straight, this is your course. Trees tight up to fairway on several holes and ate up errant shots. I happened to play the course while all fairways were under repair. Un-mowed grass made all balls stop immediately in the fairway. Fairways smelled like a river-bottom, I guess from the Potomac flooding. Course is obviously under repair at the moment, when I played last August. The round was salvaged by some scenic holes on the back nine. Water comes into play on a few of the back nine holes.

If I could find a rating below double bogey I would choose it. It's basically unplayable. There's almost no grass in the fairway, traps are hard clay, and greens are in horrible shape.

STAY AWAY from this course this year. In an attempt to re-sod the fairways with a different grass they have totally ruined all the fairways. I usually play this course once or twice a year and was highly disappointed in the conditions. The course even try’s to hide the fact by not telling you when you make and tee time and don’t off any kind of discount. ALL the fairways are more than half dead with some hard fungus in them, literally unplayable. I had to roll my ball to the rough half the time to find some grass. Who ever is responsible should be fired. This nice parkland track is a sad, sad sight. Only redeemable aspect was the decent greens.

Played this course several times this past summer and fall for the first time. Initial impression was long, narrow and fairways not great but okay. I have played on worse. Like the layout, greens proved challenging for a weekend golfer. Leaf disposal could be better maintained. There doesn't seem to be any pace of play enforcement by Marshall's of slower players or groups.

Greens and tees were in good shape, but there was absolutely zero fairway, nothing but dirt. I was actually aiming for the rough, just to have a remote chance of having grass to hit my ball off of. I've played this course twice. Once it was a muddy swamp, and the second time was without grass. Will they ever get it right here? The interesting thing is that there were actually a ton of people out here. Not worth teeing it up, that's for sure.

This course is fun to play with some tough holes thrown in. It was in pretty good shape when I played it in September. Not a bad course, but I only played it because I was in the area visiting friends.

A challenging course, but in very bad condition. Poorly maintained.

Long course with a nice layout. Fairways have undergone renovation for drainage so it is not in as good shape as usual. Worth the price and play from time to time.

Ouch! Conditions poor, most fairways gone, greens pock marked, tee boxes rough. Wish conditions were better, the layout seemed good, but was WAY overshadowed by the conditions.

Flat and straight for the most part. Hard to gauge conditions today as everything is still "mucky" from all the snow. Was wet and soggy for the most part and we hit from temporary tees. Good value for a weekend morning, so I will return as price is my main factor in playing a course

Very long(6800 from the white tees), back nine a true challenge. They are adding a set of new tees, which should help the shorter hitters. Greens are generally slow. A good value especially for seniors during the week. Easy to walk.
